Earthing for the total well-being
Feeling out of sorts lately? Then try Earthing.
Earthing is a grounding exercise that reconnects you to the Earth. Research shows that Earthing reduces inflammation by scavenging free radicals. Earthing means connecting your physical body (skin layer) to the Earth. A growing body of research suggests that Earthing helps naturally heal humans from a wide variety of ailments.
Grounding techniques of Earthing is a way of:
Quieting and clearing your mind,
Recharging your energy,
Calming your emotions,
Strengthen your instincts,
Improve the quality of sleep,
Reduce chronic pain and fatigue,
Improve blood circulation,
Banish anxiety and perpetual worrying.
Therefore, grounding exercises will help you increase your overall mental and physical performance. It’s a calming and joyful experience to connect to the Earth.
Try these powerful Grounding Techniques to Achieve Instant Calm and Regain Your Center and control.
- 1.Take off your shoes and socks and get outside. Stand on the Earth: grass, stone, sand, or dirt. You can stand in one place, walk, or lay down. As in forming any electrical circuit, you need two points of contact. One foot alone on the Earth won’t ground you, but two feet will. If you’re lying on the ground, you can use any two connection points to form a circuit, for example, an elbow and a foot.
- 2.Walk barefoot on the beach. Be sure to use your whole foot when you walk: heel, ball, toes. Feel the warmth of the sun rays touching your skin. Listen to the rhythm of the crashing waves. Smell the salty ocean wind as it brushes through your hair. Pay attention to your feet. Do you feel a tingly sensation in your feet or legs as a warmth rises up your body? Perhaps you’ve noticed a similar feeling while walking barefoot on the grass. In those moments, you are grounded, you feel ‘at home’.
- 3.Roll Around on grass like a Cat: Have you ever noticed how cats and some dogs roll around? Perhaps they instinctively know how to discharge negative energy. Try getting dirty. Here, my personal choice of ‘dirt’ would be beach sand. It’s double beneficial because it’s drenched with salt. Salt crystals have an amazing natural built in-ability to absorb negative energy.
Earthing studies are all encouraging, but you don’t need to just rely on scientific evidence. Try and experiment yourself. Then, you can evaluate the results for yourself.
For healing, the researchers behind the Earthing movement recommend staying barefoot on the Earth for at least 20 minutes, twice a day.
